The Strategic Sourcing Department supports the State System’s 14 universities as well as procurement for the Office of the Chancellor. Our mission is to employ the best sourcing strategy based upon the type of commodity/service being procured to achieve customer satisfaction and quality with the best possible pricing and delivery. Additional resource information for State System employees is available at the State System's intranet site (logon required).
Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education utilizes an e-procurement software system for managing its solicitations. As a result, costs and bidding efforts are greatly reduced as bid documents are available to suppliers online, all questions and answers are provided online, and sealed bids/proposals are submitted and updated online. Suppliers are required to register at the State System eProcurement Exchange, after which, they may view and/or respond to any open solicitation.
The Construction Support Office (CSO) is a component of the Facilities Management Office and has coordination and oversight responsbilities for a variety of functions related to design and construction of facilities at the System's 14 universities.
