Maintaining a corps of highly-qualified science teachers is an important component of increasing economic competitiveness in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines.
The eighteen month 30-credit program is designed for those who have earned a baccalaureate degree in a scientific discipline from an accredited institution. At present, no other science-specific, post-baccalaureate teacher certification programs exist within PASSHE or the region for highly qualified, second career teachers.
This cohort-based program consists of technology blended coursework as well as extensive field-based experiences.
