PASSHE Economic Development

Link to the PASSHE University Annual Economic Development Report 2008-2009 -- input screens

PASSHE's 14 universities are economic engines in their regions and across the state. Every year, billions of dollars are pumped back into the state's economy through our universities.

PASSHE defines economic development as efforts to encourage, enhance and assist in the development and expansion of new and existing business and employment opportunities, in order to support and increase economic activity.  These efforts can include, among others, local and regional partnerships; workforce development, i.e., education and job skills training for current and new employees; research and development assistance; direct financial and/or technical assistance to all types of business and industry; and public infrastructure enhancements.

These pages are designed as a resource. Here you will find examples of the economic development activities at our campuses, links to their programs and other resources outside PASSHE. Click one of the links below or a heading in the navigation to the left to begin.
