Scholarship Information

The administration of scholarships available to PASSHE students is now handled by the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education Foundation Inc. Below is a summary of available scholarships. Please visit the Foundation's website for more details.

Edith Davis Eve Scholarship & Minnie Patton Stayman Scholarship - $1,000

• Recipient of Eve Scholarship must live in Blair County, but not in the city of Altoona
• Recipient of Stayman Scholarship must live in the city of Altoona
• Must have financial need based on standard needs analysis for a financial aid application

Wayne G. Failor Scholarship Fund
(Amount dependant on available funds)

• Must be a student of West Shore School District in Cumberland and York Counties
• Must major in accounting or finance

James A. Hughes Memorial Scholarship - $1,500

• Must have attended a high school within the Philadelphia School District
• Must have financial need

Robert Noyce Scholarship Program - $7,500-$10,000/year up to two years 

• Applicants must have earned a degree in science or mathematics and make a commitment to completing certification requirements to teach secondary science or mathematics in a high need school within two years of the initial award.
• Applicants must be students currently completing a science or mathematics degree or post-baccalaureates holding a science or mathematics degree.

Arthur Williams Phillips Scholarship - $1,000

• Must be a resident of Butler, Clarion, Forest, Jefferson, Lawrence, Mercer, or Venango Counties in Pennsylvania
• Must have positive academic success
• Must have financial need

George Griffiths/Ada Jakubic Scholarship - $2,000

• Must be the son or daughter of a member of the Union of Needletrades, Industrial, and Textile Employees, AFL-CIO (UNITE!)
