Mission

The Keystone Library Network (KLN) is established as a consortium of the State System of Higher Education, approved by the Board of Governors.  The primary mission of the Keystone Library Network is to establish and maintain a virtual library consortium which provides access to library holdings, databases, and electronic resources, not only among the founding fourteen libraries of the State System of Higher Education, but also in partnership with other Pennsylvania organizations and libraries.  This multi-type library consortium will electronically link users with a multiplicity of information sources and deliver both text and multi-media sources to library patrons—at any time, from any location.  The KLN will promote and support the sharing of knowledge and best practices regarding library operations among consortium members.  All Pennsylvania citizens will benefit from the KLN’s emphasis on cooperative programs and the sharing of resources.
