The University of Central Florida (UCF) has provided its award winning faculty development program, IDL6543, for 15 years. During this period, UCF has faced dynamic growth, budget cuts, changes in technology and changes in the online environment. UCF started with a review its faculty development offering by soliciting feedback from faculty, staff, administration and students. All suggestions were reviewed and categorized using qualitative research strategies. A team of instructional designers was appointed to rewrite our faculty development offerings to incorporate these suggestions, focus on online pedagogy, and integration of technology to create flexible blended courses for the academy.
