Building a Blended Class: Face-to-Face, Online, Anytime
This presentation will discuss a blended class model including multiple modes of teaching and learning (face-to-face, online, synchronous, asynchronous, individual, group) allowing students to learn on their own time and in their own way, yet still providing a structure for consistency and community. The discussion includes a focus on the pleasures and the pains of teaching with technology and a look at student perceptions and acceptance of technology in the classroom, all based on 15 years of teaching and research at UM-St. Louis and with a concern for where all these changes are taking us.
