Flipped Classroom: Strategies and Tips
The Flipped classroom design is where students watch lecture videos at home and do concept development activities in class. This session will illustrate free software to make the lecture videos along with instructional strategies for students working in small groups to actively engage in concept development.
Presenter:
Joe Zisk, California University of Pennsylvania
The presenter is a Professor in the Department of Secondary Education and Administrative Leadership. He is actively involved in conducting faculty professional development workshops on online instruction and has conducted numerous presentations. He is the coordinator of the online Master of Arts Teaching program. The presenter is currently teaching mostly online courses and has experience with Quality Matters reviews. His research interest is in using audio/video resources and web tools in online learning.
