Videoconferencing: Creating the Virtual Classroom

With the increase in Internet speeds and a demand for more video online, institutions are turning to videoconferencing solutions for distance education classrooms as a way to replicate the live classroom in a virtual environment. Videoconferencing systems provide institutions with a way to deliver an interactive classroom experience while still benefitting from distance delivery. This panel presentation will discuss how videoconferencing solutions have been implemented at two different institutions; the technologies used, together with their benefits and challenges; and a how-to on avoiding common pitfalls in implementing videoconferencing solutions.
