  • Calendars are set up for 70 instructional days during the fall and 70 scheduled instructional days during the spring. Exams are one additional calendar week each semester.
  • During the fall, two non-class days are reserved and are to be scheduled at the discretion of the university (e.g., fall break, extended Thanksgiving holiday, etc).
  • Scheduled holidays are Labor Day (first Monday in September) and the Thursday and Friday at Thanksgiving (fourth Thursday of November).
  • Spring break is mid-way in the spring semester (after the 7th week of classes).
  • Saturday classes may be scheduled within this model (with class time on Saturday substituting for other instructional time). Normally no classes are scheduled on the Saturday following Thanksgiving and the Friday of Spring break.
