Underscoring its commitment to be a national leader in improving how students learn, and faculty teach, The Office of the Chancellor provides a range of support and services that enhance faculty and student research.

The Faculty Professional Development Council sponsors various types of research and professional development initiated by University faculty and students.
In research that involves multiple State System universities, the individual Institutional Review Boards (IRBs) have agreed to a coordinated, stream-lined IRB review process. Each academic year, one university takes on the lead review of such research.  Subsequently other participating university IRBs receive and act upon the lead IRB determination.
The Office of Sponsored Programs fulfills the State System’s commitment to partner with the Commonwealth's public and private sectors to assure that our graduates have the knowledge and skills to serve as the next generation of leaders. It provides funding through sponsored projects to the PASSHE universities to enhance academic programs, local economic development partnerships, and entrepreneurship.  The Office of Sponsored programs also provides comprehensive technology transfer and commercialization information to State System University students, faculty, and non-faculty.
