The Pennsylvania Employees Benefit Trust Fund (PEBTF) administers health care benefits to eligible State System employees and their dependents. Employees who are covered under this grouping may choose plan options outlined below. It is your responsibility to notify your benefits office when qualifying events occur.

Medical
Newly eligible employees can elect single coverage.  If you wish to add a dependent, there is a buy-up for the first six months of eligibility.

Supplemental
Prescription can be added from the start of eligibility, however there is a buy-up for the first six months. Dental, Vision, and Hearing can be elected six months after the start of eligibility and cannot be elected separately.

Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act
The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) – also known as Health Care Reform – requires that employer plans provide a uniform Summary of Benefits Coverage (SBC) for all the group health plans which are subject to this reporting requirement.
