Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC)
The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) – also known as Health Care Reform – requires that employer plans provide a uniform Summary of Benefits Coverage (SBC) for all the group health plans which are subject to this reporting requirement. Below are links to the SBCs for the applicable Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) health plans for the July 1, 2013 plan year.
The SBCs below for the four HMO plan options provide information on the medical benefits only. Prescription drug benefits for all HMO members are provided by Highmark, and are described in the “Highmark RX Only” SBC below.
