Success Story

When it comes to being a well-rounded student, Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania senior Christina “Nina” Hingston has cracked the case wide open.

Aside from pursuing a degree in digital forensics with minors in criminal justice and Spanish, Hingston gives her free time to several organizations on campus and to perfecting a personal talent.
Hingston is vice president of BU’s Community Government Association,
a representative on the concert committee and in her second year as an Orientation Workshop Leader.

On weekends she can be found performing her original music around the Bloomsburg area, both on campus and in town. She recently released her first self-produced album, Love Notes, and says its popularity has been her life’s greatest gift.

“The mere thought that people are coming to see me play humbles me beyond words. I am truly blessed to connect with so many people through the songs I wrote about my personal experiences,” she says.
For Hingston, being a Husky is more than just being a student. “It’s about making the most of your four years here. It’s about taking every chance you are given and running with it.”
