The Chancellor is the Chief Executive Officer of the State System and is responsible for its management. The Office of the Chancellor (OOC) is housed at the Dixon University Center in Harrisburg and includes the following offices:

Chancellor Dan Greenstein took office as the fifth chancellor of Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education on Sept. 4, 2018.

Executive Leadership
The Office of the Chancellor’s executive leadership team works daily to serve the State System’s 14 universities, students, and the Commonwealth. The team places the System’s public mission – to provide an affordable, quality, career-relevant postsecondary education – at the center of what it does every day as it strives for accountability, transparency, and to cultivate diverse, equitable, and inclusive educational environments.
