Twenty-eight students – two from each of the 14 Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) universities – will travel to Paris, France, next month as part of the 2005 PASSHE Summer Honors Program.
The students participating in the program will take two three-credit courses at Clarion University of Pennsylvania before departing for the French capital May 21. They then will spend 13 days visiting museums and other cultural and historic sites in and around the city, including the d’Orsay, Louvre, and Picasso Museums and the Garnier Opera House. The students also will make a trip to Versailles. This year’s program is titled: “Moulin Rouge, Monet, and Mallarmé: The Art, Music and Culture of Paris from 1852-1914.”
