The Facilities Management Office strives to put in place strategies and policies
to enable State System universities to effectively and efficiently develop and maintain
top-notch facilities and campuses, and to assist universities in being successful
in this mission.
Responsibilities and functions include:

Strategies, policies, and procedures related to capital facilities, capital budgets,
and real estate acquisitions; and processes for necessary approvals by the Board of
Governors, General Assembly, Governor’s Budget Office, and others.

The System’s building inventory and space planning guidelines Strategies, policies,
and procedures regarding life-cycle maintenance, repair, renovation, and demolition
of existing facilities.

Professional engineering and architectural and construction contracting strategies,
tools, and procedures for System universities Energy and utility strategies and procurement.

Emergency preparedness, police, and environmental, health and safety And, facility
management of the Dixon University Center.
The Construction Support Office is part of the Facilities Management Office.
