2025 PASSHE Summit FAQ for Students

The PASSHE Summit is an annual conference that brings together students, faculty, and staff from all 10 PASSHE universities.

The PASSHE Summit will be held at PennWest Clarion from October 29 to 30, 2025. The Summit is a hybrid event, so some sessions can be attended virtually. However, we encourage students to attend in person to get the most out of the experience.

The Summit is a unique opportunity to meet students, faculty, and staff across the State System. The conference has a wide variety of programming, including career readiness, mental health, academic success, and social justice. Additional reasons to attend the Summit include:

• Networking opportunities
• Connecting with students from other PASSHE universities
• Skill-building and Student Leadership Development
• Proposal/Presentation opportunities
• Social events
• Wellness/Mental Health Workshops
• Free professional headshots

• In-person and virtual registration for the conference is FREE for all undergraduate and graduate students at PASSHE universities and includes breakfast and lunch for both days.
• The Summit is at PennWest Clarion, so students attending in-person from other universities and campuses may need to pay for some travels costs, including transportation and lodging.

  • A dorm option may also be available (PennWest students only) — TBD
• Universities are trying to help students cover these costs, so please get in touch with the person at your university (see question below). Let them know you’re interested in attending the Summit in-person, and they will let you know if there are any free transportation options or other ways to help you cover travel costs:

The conference hotel is the Holiday Inn Express & Suites.

• Location: Holiday Inn Express & Suites, 325 Perkins Road, Clarion, PA 16214
• Rates: Standard Room (King or Double Queen): $110.00/night + tax

To reserve your room, call the hotel directly: (814) 223-4010. When booking, please mention the account name (PASSHE Summit) and the organization (PennWest University). To receive the tax-exempt rate, valid proof of tax exemption must be provided at check-in.
