The State System collects a wealth of data from its fourteen universities, the commonwealth, and national sources. The effective use of advanced analytics empowers executive leadership to answer questions and guide strategic decisions. By optimizing and disseminating this business and educational intelligence, advanced analytics supports the State System's and the universities' strategic priorities of student success, university success, academic relevance, educational value, regional responsiveness, and alignment to Pennsylvania's workforce needs.

The Advanced Analytics service provides analytical support related to research questions to support individual universities as well as System requests. It leverages tools for data visualizations, predictive analytics, machine learning, long term research projects and briefs addressing key system priorities outlined in the research and reporting agenda. Engaging stakeholders across and outside of the System to create a collaborative, robust, and timely research and reporting agenda ensures these activities are prioritized and aligned to key policy questions.

The service includes gathering data, performing analysis, and quality assurance of the results. It also supports the universities in providing data associated with Board of Governor's metrics for student success data, university success data, and workforce information.
