Healthy U is a secure, customized wellness rewards program for State System Highmark PPO participants. Employees and their enrolled spouses/domestic partners who complete the program are rewarded with lower health care premiums.

The current Healthy U program is  September 1, 2019 - May 31, 2020

    • ​​Employees hired on/after April 1, 2020 automatically pay the lower health care contributions for the Healthy U plan year beginning July 1, 2020.

The Healthy U program is accessed through Sharecare. Employees and their enrolled spouses/domestic partners will need to create an account with Sharecare prior to completing the Health​y U program. Once an account is created with Sharecare, members may access their account through the website or by downloading the Sharecare app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store for use on their mobile devices. For more information on Sharecare, please refer to the Healthy U Information Guide. ​​

RealAge Test

The RealAge test is now the only activity that must be completed for the 2019-2020 Healthy U program year. After creating your account you may take the RealAge® test by clicking the 'Get Started' link.  Otherwise you ​can access the test later through​ your home page after logging into your account.​


You and your enrolled spouse can each check your Rewards Program to verify completion as follows. If you and your enrolled spouse:

  • Completed the RealAge test and associated wellness activities and can see 70 points in the Rewards Program you are complete.​

  • Have only taken the RealAge test and can see 30 points in the Rewards Program you are complete.

  • Have not taken the RealAge test during the current program year, which began September 1, 2019, you are not complete and will need to do so before the May 31, 2020 deadline​​.

​Participation Reward

Employees and their enrolled spouse must each complete the RealAge Test to satisfy the Healthy U program requirements​.  Employees will be rewarded with the lower health plan contribution rate starting in July 2020.​

For example, an employee who completes Healthy U during the 9/1/19 - 5/31/20 plan year, would receive reduced premiums beginning​ July 2020.
